Altar Society: Volunteers look after the cleaning of the church Altar linen.

Baptism Team: Volunteers help parents prepare for the celebration and assist on the day both in welcoming family members and assisting the priest / deacon as required during the Baptism ceremony.

Collection Count: Volunteers who assist with the counting and processing of the weekly church collections.

Child Safeguarding Officers: Our nominated Child Protection Officers monitor the safety of children in our parish and ensure all required guidelines and training is implemented in the parish.

Children’s Stations of the Cross Group: Volunteers help prepare children for the Good Friday Stations of the Cross Pageant.

Church Cleaning Group: The group meet each Monday after the 10am Mass and clean the church on a weekly basis.

Church Floral Arrangers: Volunteers prepare floral arrangements for the Sanctuary and around the church.

Church Maintenance team: Volunteers who have experience in maintenance work and can assist with the co-ordinating, prioritising and resourcing of maintenance work in the parish.

Church Premises Opening / Locking up team: Volunteers who are responsible for the safe opening and locking up of the church and the grounds on a rota basis.

Coffee Morning Group: Volunteers host tea / coffee each Thursday after the 10am morning Mass.

Collectors: Volunteers help with the collections at the weekend Masses and at other times when required.

Distributors of Parish Literature: Volunteers distribute parish information including Christmas / Easter Cards and Dues Envelopes when required.

Eucharistic Adoration: Volunteers organise and oversee the Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament in the church at appointed times.

Funeral Ministry: Volunteers assist in the funeral liturgy.

Gardening Group: Volunteers look after the flowers / grounds of the Church.

IT / Database Management: Volunteers provide IT expertise and skills to support IT systems used in the parish.

Ministers of the Eucharist: Ministers of the Eucharist distribute Holy Communion at Masses in the parish and bring Holy Communion to those unable to attend Mass. There is a monthly rota in place to suit individuals’ availability.

Ministers of the Word: Ministers of the Word read at Sunday, Holy Days and weekday Masses. Again, there is a monthly rota in place to suit individuals’ availability.

Music Ministry: Volunteers can join either the St Pius X Adult Choir who sing at the11.30am Sunday morning Mass or the Adult Folk Group who sing at the Saturday 7pm Vigil Mass every second weekend. The choir and folk group also sing at other celebrations throughout the year. Children can also volunteer to join the St Pius X Children’s choir who sing at alternative Saturday 7pm Vigil Masses and other celebrations throughout the year.

Parish Shop: Volunteers run the Parish Shop which opens after each of the weekend Masses.

St Vincent de Paul: Part of the Terenure conference, volunteers assist with the monthly outdoor collections.

Sacristan: In addition to having an employed Sacristan, we have a team of volunteers who assist in the preparation of the Altar for the celebration of Masses, when the sacristan is not on duty.

Scripture Group: The members of this group discuss the relevance of Scripture for life today.

Welcome Group: Volunteers meet and greet parishioners at weekend Masses and assist at the celebration of the Sacrament of First Holy Communion and Confirmation, the Annual Mass of Remembrance and other special Feast Days.

Weekend Hospitality Group: The group prepares the monthly tea/coffee get together after the weekend Masses.

Website and Newsletter Team: The Team produce the weekly newsletter and update the parish website.

Youth Ministry: Volunteers assist with the organising and supervision of the Youth Café for our teenage parishioners. The café takes place monthly after the Saturday evening Vigil Mass.
